FODfest opening night: concert photography

Thursday night was the first night of a month-long tour for FODfest, a music tour honoring the life of journalist Daniel Pearl.
Daniel’s capture and murder by Al-Qaeda in 2002 became known to the world through video. Besides being a journalist, Daniel was a talented musician. When he traveled he looked for local people and places to play music with as a way to connect with the culture. In that spirit, FODfest travels to different cities and puts on a concert with a collective of local musicians who may or may not know each other. They get to know each other quick, and live in front of an audience—creating fresh and innovative energy every time! Many participating musicians are moved to share songs that speak to the message of Daniel’s Life and death. Learn more at FODfest.org.
